Farming Simulator Kids: Forestry Pack Released, Squirrels Included

Farming Simulator Kids, the particularly child-friendly version of the acclaimed series, receives more content – further increasing the range of activities and the cuteness factor. Publisher and developer GIANTS Software released the Forestry Pack for free on Nintendo Switch™ and as in-app purchase on mobile devices. 

Campfires and Marshmallows in the Woods

With the forest, a whole new environment becomes accessible to little farmers – inviting them to sit around a campfire to roast marshmallows while squirrels watch from high up in the trees. 

They can spend time in their tree-house or camp outside using their tent. More than that, players can learn, in a simplified way, about forestry and the importance of wood as a renewable resource.

New Machines and Animals

They try their hands at forestry and woodworking with new machines and activities: planting and harvesting trees, or turning timber into guitars, wooden chests, and birdhouses. 

To cut the trees, they can use the wheeled and tracked feller bunchers that come as part of the update. These machines in the iconic John Deere livery gives players a glance of what these big machines do.

With the visual charm of a hand-drawn children's book, kids are motivated to make their own connections between their discoveries: After learning how plants grow by following simple steps in the field, they get a sense of the value of using crops to make products and trade.

All this becomes even more fascinating when they get to drive a tractor and put their little colorful avatar behind the wheel of a John Deere machine. The renowned manufacturer was involved in the development from the very beginning. Represented by a number of its iconic machines in a striking green with yellow accents, children may already recognize them from the real fields near their homes.

Several environments are available to explore from the start: The farming house with multiple rooms, the farmland rich with crops, a spacey barn full of animals, and the farmer’s market where little farmers swap and collect items. More are planned for the near future.

Farming Simulator Kids: Release Date with First Gameplay Trailer Announced

Starting March 26^th, Farming Simulator Kids begins teaching children the joy and importance of farming on Nintendo Switch, iPhone, iPad, and Android™ devices. Publisher and developer GIANTS Software announced the release date alongside the first gameplay trailer – adorable characters making strawberry milk and cute animals included.

First Gameplay Shows Animals & Characters

Farming Simulator Kids invites young players to live a cozy farm life – colorful, sheltered and with a variety of farming-related activities and various locations to explore. With the first gameplay scenes, GIANTS Software offers a glimpse into a day of an aspiring young farmer: gardening, planting and harvesting crops, milking happy cows, producing delicious products, and getting into the seat of a John Deere tractor. The renowned manufacturer was involved in the development of Farming Simulator Kids from the very beginning and is present with a variety of its iconic machinery.  

Nintendo Switch Version Includes Coloring Book

Pre-order and pre-registration is soon available on Nintendo Switch, in the App Store and on Google Play respectively. Exclusive to players on the family-friendly Nintendo console, the boxed version of Farming Simulator Kids comes with a 12-page coloring book, allowing young agriculturists to paint tractors, horses, geese, and some neighbors they will also meet and interact with in the game.

Farming Simulator Kids expands the family-friendly universe: While the acclaimed Farming Simulator series has always been popular among children, publisher and developer GIANTS Software announces a brand-new game to introduce the growing generation to the colorful and fun world of farming and blooming nature. Playful Agriculture & Variety of Mini Games

With cute aesthetics, Farming Simulator Kids invites young players to live a cozy farm life. Educating and entertaining them in a child-friendly environment, the gameplay of Farming Simulator Kids focuses on audiovisual presentation instead of text. Still, virtual neighbors – including some anthropomorphic animal characters – display their needs for help and ask young players to harvest crops or prepare a delicious sandwich.

Education & Entertainment for the Little Ones

Children explore farm locations to grow and harvest healthy crops, or care for adorable farm animals like cows, chickens, or geese in their stables. As big tractors and other vehicles are a must, kids can operate a variety of machines by renowned manufacturer John Deere. All while creating unforgettable and educational farming stories that are rewarded with achievements and can be captured with a video creator mode.
