Under the hood, significant improvements have been made to stability and performance, helping ensure a smoother and more consistent experience during races.
Renewed Focus on the Future
“While the launch had its challenges, we were stepping in more actively from the publishing side to help realize the game’s full potential” comments Boris Stefan, CSO at GIANTS Software. “We remain confident in the project and are launching a limited-time promotion starting today, offering up to 50% off to invite more racing fans to experience Project Motor Racing on their own in its Version 2.0.”
Kevin Boland, CDO at Straight4 Studios: “Following the mixed reception to Project Motor Racing’s launch last November, the team at Straight4 Studios has been working closely with the wider sim racing community to improve the experience, patch by patch. Those months of feedback, testing, and iteration now culminate in Update 2.0 that represents a line in the sand for us – the moment where we solidify the base experience and begin working on the future.”

Project Motor Racing is now available on PC, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S, arriving with full mod support across all platforms and a launch trailer showcasing the sim’s commitment to authenticity. Powered by the GIANTS Engine, the sim enables creators to build and share content from day one, with the first community-made mods already live.
Published by GIANTS Software and developed by Straight4 Studios, Project Motor Racing delivers an accurate racing experience shaped by real-world racers and inspired by the brutal high-stakes world of intense motorsport action.
High-Stakes Career. Cross-Play Ranked Competition. Benchmark Handling.
Racers can tackle the unforgiving world of professional motorsport in Single-Player “Survival”-Style Career that captures the unforgiving nature of professional racing, where blown budgets, repair bills, and failed overtakes can derail an entire season.
Racers can also test their limits in Cross-Play Ranked Online Racing featuring physics parity across all platforms, no-fee Custom Lobbies, and 2 intense Leaderboards.
Newcomers meanwhile can ease into the action with adjustable AI, assist options and fully optimised gamepad control, while seasoned sim racers will find no shortage of challenges from a 720 Hz simulation engine that brings landmark handling and FFB precision.
Authentic Motorsport
From LMDh prototypes to classic GT legends from 50 years of motorsport, Project Motor Racing delivers a complete journey through racing history, featuring 70 iconic machines from Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Mazda, Mercedes, Nissan, Porsche, Toyota, and more.
Race them across 28 scanned track layouts, including landmarks like Spa-Francorchamps, Daytona, Mount Panorama, and the Nürburgring (including the Nordschleife), all featuring the “True2Track” dynamic surface model, where grip evolves corner by corner and lap by lap.
“Project Motor Racing was created by people who love this sport and shaped by a community that cares just as much,” says Ian Bell, CEO of Straight4 Studios. “We hope it gives racers the same sense of connection and excitement it gave us – something true to the sport we all love.”
Road to More Content: First Mods Already Available
At launch, players can download custom liveries, optimised setups, and a full GTO 250 km at Daytona career recreation. Praga also debuts as the first manufacturer to join the UGC’s post-launch content, adding the Bohema hypercar to the roster for PMR drivers to download for free.
Using the official GIANTS Editor and the integrated UGC Portal, creators can submit mods directly to the sim, making PMR the first sim racing title to feature mods on both consoles and PC.
“By combining Straight4’s racing expertise with our proven modding ecosystem, we’re creating a platform that can grow, evolve, and stay authentic through its community,” says Boris Stefan, CSO & Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software.
Built for the Future
Straight4 Studios and GIANTS Software plan to expand Project Motor Racing with a steady stream of new tracks, cars, brands, and more. Free updates, premium packs, and a Year 1 Season Pass will continue to evolve the game in the months ahead.
“This launch is just the starting grid for our ambitions,” adds Stefan. “We’re committed to growing Project Motor Racing into a defining name in the genre.”

Online Racing, Built For Racers
“No passes. No rentals. No subscriptions,” says Ian Bell, CEO of S4. “PMR gives you full online racing on day one, right out of the box — built for drivers who value clean, hard competition over complicated paywalls and qualification hurdles.” Next to a challenging “survival”-style single player career, multiplayer competitors can look forward to:
No subscription, native Ranked Racing defines multiplayer racing in PMR. Drivers begin their online career with a License Test at Lime Rock Park to set a fair baseline. From there, a 0-100 Driver Rating (per-class ratings, without ELO inflation) powers matchmaking and skill-based grids, while cross-platform championships unite PC and console players to keep races full, fun, and competitive. With the official Multiplayer Trailer, the online ecosystem is demonstrated in detail.
More Brands, Heavy-Hitters & Historic Asphalt
From grassroots spec series to factory GT classes and prototype icons, PMR adds depth across eras and disciplines. At TGS, the sim welcomes new marque partners — Acura, Chevrolet, Mazda, Mercedes-AMG, Nissan, and Toyota — expanding a 70-car roster that stretches from the era-defining Mazda 787B (the first Japanese overall winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 1991) to today’s thrilling GT3/GT4 contenders.
Sebring International Raceway, one of the oldest continuously operated race tracks in the U.S., is the latest circuit to join Project Motor Racing’s track lineup, bringing its famously demanding surface, long straights, and technical sectors to the game’s expanding, global locations.

Project Motor Racing, the ultra-authentic racing sim from publisher GIANTS Software and developer Straight4 Studios, will hit the track on November 25th. Announcing the release date for PC and consoles, the joint genre leaders also start pre-orders alongside new impressions and information – first and foremost, the confirmation of full-fledged mod support.
Modding, the GIANTS Way
With the launch announcement comes the exciting news of premiere level modding within the world of racing simulation: Thanks to the proven GIANTS Engine, the team confirms full mod support from day one, across all platforms.
Using the official GIANTS Editor, all user-generated content can be submitted through the in-game UGC-Portal, where every mod is tested by the developers before being made available for download. “Project Motor Racing taps into the same powerhouse modding ecosystem as Farming Simulator,” says Boris Stefan, CSO & Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software. “Racing modders will be able to tweak, tune, and transform their experience however they like.”
With over 4.5 billion downloads via the existing ModHub and a decade-long reputation for fostering creative communities, GIANTS Software brings its unrivaled modding heritage to the racing world, allowing racers to supercharge their experience in Project Motor Racing through user-generated content.
No Compromises for Racing Enthusiasts
Even without mods, the team at Straight4 aims for a full-throttle feature-set to satisfy the most demanding sim-racers, whether they prefer a challenging Single Player Career Mode or adrenaline-boosted Online Racing. “The driving physics are key, of course, but the sim is built around racing,” says Straight4’s Game Design Director, Austin Ogonoski.
In Project Motor Racing’s Single Player Career Mode, racers will need to negotiate their way through the cutthroat world of pro motorsports where the pressure not only to perform but to survive from one race to the next is key. Will they risk their car for a shot at glory, or will they play it safe and race another day?
“We wanted to capture the harsh reality of pro motorsport: Budgets. Repairs. Sponsors. Failed overtakes that don’t just wreck your car but your whole season… Your career in Project Motor Racing is motorsport with consequences,” Austin adds.
Creating an Authentic Experience
Racers can look forward to 70+ meticulously recreated cars across 10 iconic racing classes, including LMDh, GT3, and historic legends, 27 scanned track layouts for pinpoint realism (including dynamic weather and full day/night cycles), and unmatched driving physics powered by a blistering 720 Hz simulation engine, and more.
Project Motor Racing will be released on November 25th for PC, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are available now on selected channels – including the bonus GTE Decade Pack. Fresh from revealing GIANTS Software as publisher for the new sim racing game Project Motor Racing comes the announcement that Straight4 Studios and GIANTS have now entered a long-term technical partnership. This partnership will see the game engine used on the hit Farming Simulator franchise driving Project Motor Racing straight into its scheduled 2025 release.
A Partnership of Genre Trailblazers
GIANTS Software and Straight4 Studios have been collaborating on integrating the GIANTS engine into Project Motor Racing since 2023. Both studios are already deep into the development phase of tuning the engine for sim racing-specific duty.
The GIANTS Engine was developed from the ground up and saw the light of day in 2008 in the first Farming Simulator. Since then, it has been continuously developed and used in all common platforms, so that today it easily meets the latest technical requirements for PC and console gaming.
Boris Stefan, CSO & Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software said, “When we committed to self-publishing Farming Simulator in 2021, we made no secret that we were on the lookout for external titles that slotted into our vision. In Straight4 Studios, we found the ideal candidate: a studio that, like us, want to create world-class simulation, and a new project from a high-profile studio to enrich our publishing portfolio.”
“Straight4 and GIANTS both share deep simulation roots and high production values,” said Kevin Boland, CDO at Straight4. “Competing in the specialized and technically challenging sim racing arena with Project Motor Racing is a testament to the versatility of the GIANTS Engine. We’re sure both Farming Simulator fans and sim racers will come out as winners from this partnership.”
Ian Bell, CEO at Straight4 Studios, noted: “Developing a new generation of sim racing games requires that we solve some hard questions. Foremost is how to align our state-of-the-art physics engine alongside the graphic fidelity that our fans demand from us. In the GIANTS Engine, we have found the solution: a game engine that allows us to build a beautiful simulator while ensuring framerates do not suffer as a result.”
Project Motor Racing, currently being developed for PC and consoles, will be released in 2025. Visit the newly launched ProjectMotorRacing.com, giants-software.com, Straight4.com, and the GIANTS Software press area for more information.
