Harvesting points: GIANTS Software announces the next tournaments in its 5th esports season, played with Farming Simulator 22. Taking place this weekend, the Farming Simulator League (FSL) will commence in an online event on February 10th and 11th – streamed live on the official GIANTS channels from 10am. Participating teams try to defeat their opponents on the field and earn valuable circuit points to climb up the league ranking and take their share of the €200,000 prize pool.
Next Stop: Leipzig, Germany
Tournament #7 is an on-site tournament again, as GIANTS confirms to exhibit at the CAGGTUS show in Leipzig, Germany, to host the next Farming Simulator League event across 390 square meters on the show floor. The teams will meet their opponents face to face on stage, before they enter their virtual tractors, balers, and harvesters.
Show visitors between April 5th to 7th can also put their hands on the main line series Farming Simulator 22 and the mobile version Farming Simulator 23, as well as the currently developed Farming Simulator Kids, which is dedicated to the youngest farmers.
Who Qualifies for the World Championship?
The online tournament from May 25th to May 26th is the last qualification, as successful teams earn circuit points in each tournament to climb up the ranks. Team HELM as the current ranking leader has a comfortable point cushion, while other teams such as Trelleborg and astragon will battle it out for the crucial points – only the top eight spots qualify for the World Championship taking place at FarmCon 24 in July.
Farming Simulator 22 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, the Farming Simulator League is played in the Arena game mode within the multiplayer section. Farming Simulator 23 is available for Nintendo Switch™, iPhone, iPad, and Android™ devices, these mobile versions are available at the Nintendo eShop, in the App Store and on Google Play respectively. First Online Competition for Farming Simulator 22
FSL Season 5 started this summer at two on-site events. Team HELM, sponsored by HELM AG, one of the world's major independent agricultural enterprises, conquered the competitions at GIANTS Software’s annual event FarmCon and gamescom, the world’s largest event for computer and video games.
This weekend, all teams have to show their skills in the first online tournament in Season 5. Simultaneously, it’s a premiere for Farming Simulator 22, as previous seasons took place in its predecessor.
Harvesting, Baling, and Scoring
The FSL is a team-based competition which demands coordination and strategies. The Pick & Ban phase before a match determines the machines available to each team. Some or even all team members have to switch to different vehicles during the competition, whether harvesters, balers, tractors to pull or stack, telehandlers, or even a truck.
The teams with three players each compete for the higher score by harvesting wheat, pressing bales and delivering them to their barn within the ten minutes playing time. This weekend, the competition starts at 10:00 CET and will be streamed on official GIANTS Software channels.
Farming Simulator 22 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation®5 (PS5™), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. The Farming Simulator League is played in the Arena mode within the multiplayer section. Further information about FSL at fsl.giants-software.com, the official Farming Simulator website and the GIANTS Software press area.

Competitive farming gets a major upgrade with the fifth season of the official Farming Simulator League (FSL): After establishing the official esports league in 2019 for the previous game in the series, the FSL will now continue with its implementation in Farming Simulator 22 as publisher and developer GIANTS Software announces.
New Milestone: FSL & Competitive Farming on Consoles
As the new “esports” section in the main menu of Farming Simulator 22 will be introduced with a free game update coming in June, it will be easier for every interested fan to join the league. Now, even on consoles, as the FSL client was previously only available to PC players.
“We’re happy to announce the integration of console players to our esports league,” comments Christian Ammann, CEO of GIANTS Software. “This marks another milestone in the history of our successful endeavors to make virtual farming not only competitive and fun, but professional and inspiring.”
While the fifth season of the FSL starts with FarmCon on July 1st & 2nd, all Farming Simulator players can battle with their friends and other fans in the Arena mode (Introduction Video) when the update becomes available. To demonstrate their skills, they can then join the FSL to challenge professional teams.
New Main Sponsor & Prize Pool Worth 200,000 Euros
With HELM AG, a new main sponsor accompanies the league in its fifth season. The family-run and long-established agricultural company from Hamburg, Germany, is active in more than 30 countries and was introduced to the Farming Simulator universe in 2022 with in-game fertilizer and crop protection products.
Overall, the prize pool in season 5 is worth 200,000 Euros – inciting existing and new teams to compete in competitive agriculture in the new Arena mode. The season consists of offline and online tournaments, both serving as qualifiers for the World Championship at the end of the season.
Open Beta Available on PC
By choosing the beta branch of the game manually, PC players can join an open beta and give the new competitive farming a try before its official launch in June. This pre-release version includes two vying game modes – Bale Stacking and Arena – for up to six players each.
The Arena mode is an improved version of the former FSL client, where two teams of up to three players compete to harvest wheat, press bales and deliver them to their own barn as quickly as possible.
Farming Simulator 22 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation®5 (PS5™), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. Visit the official Farming Simulator website, the FSL website and the GIANTS Software press area for more information.

The esports harvest is in: Trelleborg is the winning team in Farming Simulator League (FSL) Season 4 after a furious weekend full of adrenaline-pumping baling! GIANTS Software, developer and publisher of the globally acclaimed Farming Simulator brand, organized the FSL World Championship with the top eight teams attending at its Erlangen (Germany) office and congratulates the Trelleborg team as former and new World Champion in FSL Season 4.
15 Matches to Glory
Trelleborg ruled its group phase on Saturday already, qualifying directly as winner in group A for the semi-finals. Team astragon (who won the final participant match vs Corteva Agriscience), mYinsanity and Bednar had their chances in the lower bracket in this group, where Czech agricultural team Bednar put through for another spot in the Sunday semi-finals.
The French players of team New Holland dominated Group B and progressed to semi-finals leaving Valtra, Lindner and DJK Ehenfeld behind. Valtra followed via the second chance lower bracket and in the end rewarded itself for the 3rd place in the World Championship – moving up significantly from 7th rank at the end of the qualifying phase.
Trelleborg Team on Fire
Claiming five tournament victories in the fourth FSL season, as well as reigning team champions in the second and third season, Trelleborg was the clear favorite in the World Championship 2022. Team captain Lukas Thiemann aka Wühler and his four team-mates started with big confidence, two substitutes and the ability to adjust strategies depending on opponents and circumstances.
Trelleborg’s winning streak wasn’t flawless, as New Holland and Valtra could at least claim victory in one round each of their Best of 5 and Best of 3 matches respectively. But those couldn’t stop Trelleborg’s overall victory and after 16 tournament hours on two days they proudly represent the World Championship winners of Season 4! As a total reward within this FSL Season 4, Trelleborg accumulated a share of 42,000 from the total prize pool of 100,000 Euros.
Farming Meets Esports
“It’s been a blast – the only on-site event in this season was as worthy setting for this World Championship”, summarizes Claas Eilermann, Event & Esports Manager at GIANTS Software. “Congratulations to team Trelleborg for a well-deserved win! Thanks again to all attendees, sponsors and partners for this exciting conclusion of Season 4. Our preparations for the future of farming esports start now!” GIANTS Software will reveal the next steps in its agricultural esports universe in 2023.
The free to download Tournament Client invites every Farming Simulator fan and esports enthusiast to register and compete in the league. The esports game mode is currently based on the PC version of Farming Simulator 19 and requires teamwork to expertly harvest wheat, produce bales and quickly deliver them to a barn. Agriculture meets esports: GIANTS Software organizes the World Championship to conclude Season 4 in its Farming Simulator League (FSL) competition, inviting all competitors to face each other in their studio in Erlangen, Germany.
The decisive tournament will be streamed on official GIANTS Software Twitch channel, the FSL YouTube channel, and Facebook on November 19th and 20th starting at 10 am CET each day. Live commentary in English and German language brings the exciting atmosphere to viewers at home, when participants have their first face-to-face competition in this season to secure their share from the overall prize pool of 100,000 Euros.
Unexpected Turn: A New Challenger Enters
The participating teams in the FSL consist of a great mixture between agricultural manufacturers, esports organizations and Farming Simulator enthusiasts. At this opportunity, GIANTS Software welcomes New Holland as another sponsor for a team: they support the players formerly known as the French participant Fermiers Flamboyants who made a spectacular entrance into the league by breaking the winning streak of team Trelleborg in the fifth online tournament.
New Holland joins the likes of mYinsanity, DJK Ehenfeld, Lindner, Bednar and Valtra who are also qualified for the World Finals. Unified in the common goal to beat the leading team Trelleborg as the reigning champions and favorite for Season 4 again.
Battle to Decide the Last Contender
Teams of three players each collected circuit points over the course of the season in order to qualify for the World Championship. The leading team, Trelleborg, earned the advantage to start the knockout competition against the 8th place team from the ranking.
This last spot for the finals is still vacant, as astragon and Corteva Agriscience achieved identical results during the season, sharing 8th place in the rankings. They will fight each other on Friday evening at 6 pm CET to decide the final missing contender in the FSL World Championship.
Last Chances Before the Showdown
Starting on Saturday, the final tournament before the showdown features two groups each with an upper and lower bracket for the eight participating teams. The group winners are set for the semi-finals on Sunday, while the runners-up qualify via a second chance. This tournament structure allows one loss and competitors still have a last chance to proceed in the World Championship. On Sunday, the winner in the final match is crowned FSL World Champion!
The free to download Tournament Client invites every Farming Simulator fan and esports enthusiast to register and compete in the league. event in November.
Crowded rankings with Trelleborg leading
All participating teams of the FSL have the chance to qualify by gaining precious circuit points over the duration of the season. From the FSL veterans of mYinsanity, to the comfortably placed Bednar and Lindner teams, to Corteva Agriscience who have four challengers breathing down their neck – it’s a decisive qualifier this coming weekend. Commentary in all live streams is offered in English and German language.
Prize pool worth 100,000 Euros

Competitive farming returns, as publisher and developer GIANTS Software prepares for the new season of Farming Simulator League (FSL): The fourth season of the popular Farming Simulator esports mode starts with the first online tournament May 14. A revised open beta is now live and invites everyone to test the updated client.
New Client Increases Speed
The new Tournament Client increases the speed of various harvesters and the overall gameplay of the competition. Up to 40% more harvesting speed will ensure that the combatants have to be quick on their toes as soon as the harvest is ready to be processed into bales. While looking for a variety of power ups to gain a strategic advantage, players will have to adapt to the optimized drop locations. Teamwork is still the key to success to coordinate harvesting, production and delivery to achieve a higher score than the opposing team of three.
First FSL Tournament Scheduled For May 14th
GIANTS Software kicks off the fourth season of its esports activities with the first online tournament taking place the weekend of May 14th to May 15th. The FSL tournament will be live-streamed on the official GIANTS Software Twitch channel. More announcements regarding FSL Season 4, sponsors and the prize pool follow shortly.
“We’re very excited for the return of the FSL and our refined competitive dynamics”, says Claas Eilermann, Event & Esports Manager at GIANTS Software. “We’re ready for a great season. Once again, we’re working with our dedicated players and partners to further develop the Farming Simulator League and gain even more traction in the world of esports.”
Free Esports Mode Available To Download
The free to download Tournament Client invites every Farming Simulator fan and esports enthusiast to register and compete. Based on Farming Simulator 19, the esports game mode requires teamwork to expertly harvest wheat, produce bales and quickly deliver them to a barn. A training mode for newcomers is included. For further information about FSL visit fsl.giants-software.com, the official Farming Simulator website and the GIANTS Software press area.

The world has a defending champion of virtual farming: Publisher and developer GIANTS Software announces Trelleborg as the winner of the Farming Simulator League World Championship. Eight teams competed for a prize pool consisting of 100,000 Euros on Sunday, 5th December, which concluded season three of the Farming Simulator League (FSL).
Thrilling finale of the season
The setup for the finals already promised a nail-biting finale: Trelleborg was the title contender of the season – with two newcomers, Valtra and Corteva Agriscience, close to their backs.
To Trelleborg's advantage, Corteva Agriscience and Valtra met directly in the first match. A surprise was provided by the wild card team LSA E-Sports, which made it to the final match without a sponsor and as another new team in the FSL. In the decisive match, Trelleborg prevailed after three rounds of victories and can now call itself World Champion.
“We are proud to have defended the title of World Champion!” said Lukas Thiemann (aka Wühler), team captain of Trelleborg. “Since the preliminary round, we have not lost a match, no matter how tough our opponents were. We gave our best and were finally rewarded with a winning streak of 11 wins and can now call ourselves the World Champion of the Farming Simulator League.”
The FSL will continue!
“We congratulate team Trelleborg for this well-deserved victory and the hard-earned trophy. We saw some outstanding strategy and teamwork in the World Finals”, comments Claas Eilermann, Esports Manager at GIANTS Software after the winning team was awarded for their performance. In Season 3, Trelleborg earned 61,300 Euros as part of the overall prize pool.
“It’s hard to believe where the FSL went from the early tournaments up to crowning the victor of this spectacular third season, which has been successfully established in the world of esports”, continues Eilermann. “We are looking forward to the next season, which will be even more exciting!”

After GIANTS Software just released Farming Simulator 22, the next highlight for the publisher and developer is imminent: This coming weekend, on December 5th, the FSL Season 3 World Championship brings the current season to its conclusion. The final Farming Simulator League tournament is broadcasted on the official GIANTS Software Twitch channel, YouTube channel, and Facebook. The live-stream will start at 10am (CET).
Prize pool worth 100,000 Euros
The top eight teams compete with each other for a six-figure prize pool: Worth 100,000 Euros, the World Championship will account for the largest chunk of the overall season prize pool worth a quarter million. Participating teams had the chance to qualify by gaining the precious circuit points over the duration of the third season of the FSL. The bracket consists of the following pairings, that will kick off the world championship: Trelleborg vs mYinsanity, Corteva Agriscience vs. Valtra, Hörmann vs. Bednar and LSA E-Sports vs. Krone.
Trelleborg, Valtra & Corteva Agriscience leading
“We’re enormously excited to see the third season, which marks the most spectacular yet, come to its thrilling conclusion this weekend”, comments Christian Ammann, CEO of GIANTS Software. “Special thanks go out to our sponsors and partners who made this third and vastly improved season possible. It’ll be the most thrilling climax in FSL history.”
Two of the many reasons for the exciting final, besides new machines, map improvements, power-ups and a multitude of new strategic possibilities, are agricultural brand teams Valtra and Corteva Agriscience. Both teams, newcomers to the league, are currently tailgating the defending champion with the most circuit points: Trelleborg.
