Four New Tractors Extend the Vehicle Fleet

The world debut of the Valtra Q Series happened just days ago – now, virtual farmers are among the first to operate the modern tractor. There’s even a free augmented reality version of the tractor available to download on mobile devices via farming-simulator.com. Fans can inspect every angle, and take photos and videos of the tractor projected into the real world through the lens of their mobile device.

While machine enthusiasts focus on the Q Series, the free content update also includes the long-awaited fifth-generation models of Valtra A, N and T Series. All four authentically digitized additions to Farming Simulator 22 are presented with a video trailer.

Heavy upgrades for Farming Simulator 22 on display: With the Platinum Expansion, publisher and developer GIANTS Software prepares to show loads of new content for the million-selling agricultural simulation at this year’s gamescom.

New brands, new machines, new gameplay mechanics as well as a new map and more will be presented with Farming Simulator 22 - Platinum Edition. There’s a brand-new video trailer to tune fans and gamers in on the agricultural spirit that will be present at gamescom.

Platinum Edition: Hands-on at gamescom

From August 24th to 28th, visitors can experience the upcoming content of the Platinum Edition (including the Platinum Expansion, in addition to the base game) at the Farming Simulator booth (B41) in hall 7. Cultivating fields and forests, gamers get an early preview of the new map Silverrun Forest, the new machines by Volvo Group and many others, and more before launching on November 15th on PC and consoles.

In addition to the gaming stations running the Platinum Edition, GIANTS Software invites gamescom attendees to direct their eyes towards their own stage: Each day, exciting shows await. Introducing World’s First Self-propelled Baler

From the inventors of the round baler comes a set of powerful and innovative machines for Farming Simulator 22. With the ZR5-1200 self-propelled baler by Vermeer, the first of its kind, virtual farmers produce bales as fast as possible, with great comfort and maneuverability – but without the necessity of a tractor. Zero-turn capability and high transport speed save a lot of time on and in between fields.

A trailed mower, a twin rake, as well as a high-duty baler and a straw blower are also included in the Vermeer pack to round off the selection of sturdy machinery to make grassland operation more efficient

GIANTS Software publishes its first third-party product with Farming Simulator 22: Pumps N’ Hoses Pack. The Swiss-based, international publisher presents the upcoming game add-on at this year’s gamescom in Cologne in hall 7 at booth number B41. Pre-Release Version Playable at gamescom

The game expansion is made by Creative Mesh, an acclaimed modding team that grew into an ambitious development studio. Farming Simulator 22: Pumps N’ Hoses Pack will be available on September 27th for PC and consoles. A few weeks early, gamescom visitors can play around with the new content, which introduces new ways to fertilize fields.

Illuminating: Boxed Beacon Light

PC players with an affection for colorful ambiance lighting look forward to the official Farming Simulator Beacon Light. The orange-colored beacon, which is usually placed on tractors and other machines, reacts to machinery in compatible games like Farming Simulator 22. When connected to the PC via USB, the beacon will light up as soon as players light the virtual ones in the game. Every Beacon Light includes a download code for the ERO Grapeliner Series 7000.

New Packs Planned for August & September

With the Vermeer Pack, virtual farmers look forward to the digitalization of the world’s first self-propelled baler, the ZR-5. Overall, five efficient and unique machines from the North-American manufacturer Vermeer are included. Releasing on August 23rd, it’s already available for pre-order. A Vermeer Pack teaser offers a first glimpse at the machines.

Presented and published by GIANTS Software, the Pumps N’ Hoses Pack releases on September 27th. Developed by the third-party studio Creative Mesh, Pumps N’ Hoses offers umbilical systems (using pumps and hoses to spread fertilizer more efficiently and soil-friendly), manure separation and configurable biogas plants. First Look at November’s Platinum Expansion Map

The Platinum Expansion & Platinum Edition add more than 40 new machines by Volvo Group and others to Farming Simulator 22, as well as a new map: Silverrun Forest. Inspired by the Pacific Northwest of the United States, the map was presented for the first time with a map teaser video. With a lush landscape dominated by vast areas of forest, players enjoy harvesting and planting new types of trees while taking on new missions and providing logs to develop various points of interest.

Cologne’s exhibition halls will experience more farming than ever: For the first time in the company’s history, GIANTS Software attends the world's largest event for computer and video games not only as a developer, but as an independent publisher. The makers of Farming Simulator attend gamescom with two spacious booths in Cologne, Germany, from August 24th to 28th.

Team-based esports is back on the field: GIANTS Software kicks-off Farming Simulator League (FSL) Season 4! Season 3 winners Trelleborg return, with other teams looking to unseat the back-to-back reigning champions. Starting with the first official tournament on the weekend of May 14th to May 15th, monthly online qualifiers will conclude with the World Championship in November 2022. Live-streamed on the FSL Facebook and GIANTS Software Twitch channels, teams from all over the world can participate and compete for the prize pool of 100,000 Euros.

Compact Season and 100,000€ Prize Pool

All qualifying tournaments in Season 4 are organized monthly as online events, and streamed live via official GIANTS Software channels. Successful teams grab their share from the 100,000 Euros prize pool at each tournament, with the largest portion at stake during the World Championship in November which has the potential to be a face-to-face event.

In Season 4, all participating player teams compete equally in knockout rounds in each tournament, as there are no more seeded teams. Nevertheless, renowned agricultural manufacturers (such as Valtra, Lindner) will sponsor a team to participate in this unique virtual farming experience.

Reworked Free Esports Mode Available

Developer and publisher GIANTS Software enhanced the gameplay dynamics of its competitive multiplayer mode for Season 4 with an increased harvesting speed and several other tweaks. Teamwork is still the core of the competition, as three players have to coordinate their machine fleet efficiently. After a strategic selection of machines at the beginning, the teams harvest wheat, produce bales and quickly deliver them to the own barn for points.

The free to download Tournament Client is based on Farming Simulator 19 PC version and invites every Farming Simulator fan and esports enthusiast to register and compete. Increased Sustainability, Thanks to Smart Farming Technology

New gameplay mechanics, based on real smart farming technology, extend the aspect of realism: Including four different soil types and soil sampling, economic analysis and an environmental score to assess the eco-friendliness of farming operations – calculated by factors like reduced tillage, nitrogen levels, weed control using spot-spraying technology and others.

Crop sensors and variable-rate application of resources for yield improvement and crop care help players to save seeds, lime, fertilizer, herbicide, fuel and, in the end, money. All while reducing the environmental impact. On the Precision Farming screen, virtual farmers keep track of their actions and their effects on their environmental footprint, as well as their finances.

New Machines Extend the Gameplay Dynamic

To extend your repertoire of agricultural tools to run a sustainable farm, the Precision Farming Free DLC includes the ISARIA Scout to take soil samples, the ISARA PRO Active and PRO Compact sensors to measure the nitrogen levels of crops and the John Deere R732i with “PowrSpray” spot-spraying technology to dynamically combat weeds. Also included are the John Deere Gator and the Kotte Garant PTR 30.000 with a John Deere manure sensing system to fertilize fields.

The project set out to improve the knowledge of modern agricultural technology in society in cooperation with the University of Hohenheim (Germany), the University of Reading (UK), Grupo AN, the largest cereal cooperative in Spain, and the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research from the Polish Academy of Sciences. The first version of the Precision Farming DLC for Farming Simulator 19 proved a great success, and was downloaded one million times world-wide.

More Machines and a New Brand in Free Content Update

Also now available for Farming Simulator 22 is patch 1.4, required to activate the Precision Farming Free DLC. Included in the patch is another free content update, adding the fan-favourite tractor CLAAS XERION 5000- 4000, the ETV 216i forklift by German manufacturer Jungheinrich as well as various implements by Czech company Salek, that is introduced as a new brand to the series. Overall, seven new machines are added to the game, and this new video trailer shows them in action.

Competitive farming returns, as publisher and developer GIANTS Software prepares for the new season of Farming Simulator League (FSL): The fourth season of the popular Farming Simulator esports mode starts with the first online tournament May 14. A revised open beta is now live and invites everyone to test the updated client.

New Client Increases Speed

The new Tournament Client increases the speed of various harvesters and the overall gameplay of the competition. Up to 40% more harvesting speed will ensure that the combatants have to be quick on their toes as soon as the harvest is ready to be processed into bales. While looking for a variety of power ups to gain a strategic advantage, players will have to adapt to the optimized drop locations. Teamwork is still the key to success to coordinate harvesting, production and delivery to achieve a higher score than the opposing team of three.

First FSL Tournament Scheduled For May 14th

GIANTS Software kicks off the fourth season of its esports activities with the first online tournament taking place the weekend of May 14th to May 15th. The FSL tournament will be live-streamed on the official GIANTS Software Twitch channel. More announcements regarding FSL Season 4, sponsors and the prize pool follow shortly.

New Mechanics & Feature Improvements

Emphasizing the reduction of environmental impact in agriculture, the Precision Farming Free DLC will add crop sensors and variable seeding and drilling, variable weed control, as well as the variable rate application of organic fertilizer. The new environmental score helps players to increase the sustainability of farms and the yield of crops by choosing smart technology made available with the DLC.

This comes in addition to the features of the initial version released for Farming Simulator 19 which laid the foundation by introducing soil types, soil sampling, variable rate fertilization and economic analysis. Existing features will return and be improved on: For example, players will get the chance to acquire soil maps by a service provider in exchange for a fee, saving time on taking soil samples themselves.

EU-funded Project to Spread Awareness

Downloaded more than one million times, the first version of the Precision Farming DLC for Farming Simulator 19 proved a great success. The EIT Food funded project aims to provide knowledge regarding sustainable farming technology. Implementing Precision Farming in the global video game phenomenon Farming Simulator is one of EITs multiple steps to increase awareness.

The first big content update is now available for Farming Simulator 22: It brings some heavy machinery, and it’s free! Included in the patch 1.2, publisher and developer GIANTS Software adds 16 new vehicles and tools to the game. While the accompanying trailer shows them off, an extensive changelog also introduces a variety of optimizations and quality-of-(farming)-life improvements.

Case IH Steiger Series is back, new brands introduced

While the fan-favorite Case IH Steiger Quadtrac with up to 692 units of horsepower makes a well-deserved comeback alongside its brothers, the Case IH Steiger Rowtrac and the Case IH Steiger Wheeled, new brands are introduced, too. American manufacturer ABI Attachments makes their debut alongside Danish Kongskilde Agriculture and the Dutch company Vervaet.

Patch 1.2 adds even more objects and improvements

Numerous additions and improvements enhance the farming experience: Other than new machines, GIANTS Software also adds new placeables like a mobile home and an old barn, including the option for free placement to allow for more dynamic farm building. Meanwhile, working on the fields gets a bit more intelligible, with the field info now showing yield potential and the recommended tool to remove weeds.

The first content update with those and even more improvements and bug fixes is now available as part of patch 1.2. GIANTS Software will continue to provide content updates in the future and is supporting their own ModHub, where user generated content is available to download.

The world has a defending champion of virtual farming: Publisher and developer GIANTS Software announces Trelleborg as the winner of the Farming Simulator League World Championship. Eight teams competed for a prize pool consisting of 100,000 Euros on Sunday, 5th December, which concluded season three of the Farming Simulator League (FSL).

Thrilling finale of the season

The setup for the finals already promised a nail-biting finale: Trelleborg was the title contender of the season – with two newcomers, Valtra and Corteva Agriscience, close to their backs.

To Trelleborg's advantage, Corteva Agriscience and Valtra met directly in the first match. A surprise was provided by the wild card team LSA E-Sports, which made it to the final match without a sponsor and as another new team in the FSL. In the decisive match, Trelleborg prevailed after three rounds of victories and can now call itself World Champion.

“We are proud to have defended the title of World Champion!” said Lukas Thiemann (aka Wühler), team captain of Trelleborg. “Since the preliminary round, we have not lost a match, no matter how tough our opponents were. We gave our best and were finally rewarded with a winning streak of 11 wins and can now call ourselves the World Champion of the Farming Simulator League.”

The FSL will continue!

“We congratulate team Trelleborg for this well-deserved victory and the hard-earned trophy. We saw some outstanding strategy and teamwork in the World Finals”, comments Claas Eilermann, Esports Manager at GIANTS Software after the winning team was awarded for their performance. In Season 3, Trelleborg earned 61,300 Euros as part of the overall prize pool.

“It’s hard to believe where the FSL went from the early tournaments up to crowning the victor of this spectacular third season, which has been successfully established in the world of esports”, continues Eilermann. “We are looking forward to the next season, which will be even more exciting!”

After GIANTS Software just released Farming Simulator 22, the next highlight for the publisher and developer is imminent: This coming weekend, on December 5th, the FSL Season 3 World Championship brings the current season to its conclusion. The final Farming Simulator League tournament is broadcasted on the official GIANTS Software Twitch channel, YouTube channel, and Facebook. The live-stream will start at 10am (CET).

Prize pool worth 100,000 Euros

The top eight teams compete with each other for a six-figure prize pool: Worth 100,000 Euros, the World Championship will account for the largest chunk of the overall season prize pool worth a quarter million. Participating teams had the chance to qualify by gaining the precious circuit points over the duration of the third season of the FSL. The bracket consists of the following pairings, that will kick off the world championship: Trelleborg vs mYinsanity, Corteva Agriscience vs. Valtra, Hörmann vs. Bednar and LSA E-Sports vs. Krone.

Farming Simulator 22, self-published by GIANTS Software for the first time in the series’ history, is already proving successful with more than 1.5 million copies being sold as the developer and publisher reports merely days after launch on November 22nd.

Farms are growing bigger - just like the series

Farming Simulator 22 enhances the farming experience on every level: Seasonal farming adds (snowy) challenges, production chains more depth, new ground working mechanics more agricultural diversity, and an improved sound design more immersion.

A brand-new build mode and character creation tool promote creativity and player freedom on three distinct maps, inspired by southern France, the US-Midwest and the European Alpine region. All types of farmers will find the perfect landscape to build their farm and dive into agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry. It is their choice whether they focus on the large variety of crops or tend to cows, sheep, chicken, pigs, and horses – even bees. Thanks to cross-platform multiplayer, it’s also easier than ever to cooperate.

With over 400 authentically digitized vehicles and tools from brands like Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Valtra and many more, the fleet of agricultural machinery grows, too. Farmers don’t need to worry about their resolution and frame rate as Farming Simulator 22 on PC will feature NVIDIA DLSS and NVIDIA DLAA. A comparison video of NVIDIA DLSS by NVIDIA shows the clearly noticeable performance improvement, while a new game trailer shows the snowcapped landscape of an Alpine region.

Better quality and performance on RTX cards

Thanks to DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), Farming Simulator 22 will be sharper and smoother on systems running with graphics cards of the GeForce RTX series – boosting resolution, image quality and frame rate.

The already popular DLSS-option allows players to output Farming Simulator 22 in 4K, for example, while it is only rendered at 1080p resolution. DLSS uses AI to boost frame rates and generate beautiful, sharp images for your games. The result: higher frame rates without a noticeable loss in image quality compared to native 4K!

The more recent DLAA technique is an AI-based anti-aliasing mode for users who have spare GPU headroom and want higher levels of image quality. It uses the same technology powering NVIDIA DLSS, giving you even better graphics in your games.

Atmospheric invitation to Erlengrat

With DLSS enabled, farmers can enjoy the sight of Erlengrat, where the snowflakes fall particularly smoothly due to the performance boost. A new map trailer invites all players to the mountainous landscape inspired by the European Alpine regions. After Elmcreek, set in the US-Midwest, and Haut-Beyleron, inspired by Southern France, farmers can now get a sneak peak of all three available maps in the game.

Tractors roaring, bees buzzing and chainsaws rattling: It’s all part of Farming Simulator 22, when it launches on 22nd November. The latest trailer details the picturesque Haut-Beyleron (o bɛlʁɔ̃) as the right place to build your farm. It’s one of three diverse settings available for agriculture, animal husbandry and forestry.

French charm

Inspired by illustrious Mediterranean areas in the South of France, like Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur or Beynac-et-Cazenac, this vast map is ideal to create a lush vineyard or an olive orchard. These crops are new in Farming Simulator 22 and can be processed further into grape juice, raisins, or olive oil for additional revenue. The rural landscape invites for exploration and players can experience traditional gondolas, an old castle and many more sights.

Open for business

48 fields are spread all over the varied Haut-Beyleron map in various shapes and sizes – with the option to create more. Thanks to the new production chains, players can extend their operation with various factories to create a whole business empire. It’s almost time to start the tractors, as Farming Simulator 22 is less than three weeks away. Developer and publisher GIANTS Software releases a new Garage Trailer to provide machine enthusiasts with a foretaste of the impressive agricultural vehicle fleet available in the game.

Hundreds of authentic machines available

Over 400 authentically digitized machines and tools from Case IH, CLAAS, DEUTZ-FAHR, Fendt, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Valtra and many other renowned brands from all over the world will be available in Farming Simulator 22.

As always, GIANTS Software, in close cooperation with the respective manufacturers, paid close attention to detail – up to the last bolt of each machine. The Massey Ferguson MF 8S tractor will be equally authentic as the Mack Super-Liner 6x4 by Mack Trucks or the New Holland Braud 9070L grape harvester that is introduced alongside the brand-new crop.

In less than four weeks, Farming Simulator 22 invites players to build their farm in one of three distinct settings. Developer and publisher GIANTS Software releases a new trailer and impressions to welcome soon-to-be farmers to Elmcreek.

Creating big US farming operations

Elmcreek is inspired by the North American landscape in the Midwest. Most noticeable is the idyllic out-of-town charm, with a gas station, various small businesses, residential areas, even a baseball stadium, and a bowling center spread across the land. Farmers start with a piece of land in the center, allowing them to spread out all over the map.

Over 80 fields in various shapes and sizes are predefined – with the option to create more. Also, thanks to the new production chains, players can extend their operation with various factories to create a whole business empire. In (cross-platform) multiplayer, multiple farmers occupy different locations on the map to complete each other.

Discovering big rocks and hidden caves

Besides agriculture, animal husbandry and forestry, Elmcreek has a lot more to offer to its farmers due to its unique landscape. Players can discover a huge canyon with a hidden cave between big rocks, embedded seamlessly into the landscape. Increases and decreases in elevation of the land also allow for beautiful sightseeing spots, railways, rivers and streams that wind themselves through the scenery.

Farming will be as sweet and delicious as ever: Developer and publisher GIANTS Software introduces new beekeeping features to produce honey, and greenhouses to grow juicy strawberries, healthy lettuce and tomatoes in Farming Simulator 22. A new trailer also shines light on the livestock animals, even cuter than before, as well as the new wildlife whirling around through fields and forests.

In combination with the new production chains, farmers can extend their operation significantly through more options and produce way more than just the usual crops. This way of direct and local distribution allows for more complexity, especially in multiplayer mode with multiple farmers working together.

Let’s make some money, with honey!

The irrefutable importance of bees shows itself in Farming Simulator 22 through various effects on the farm: By placing beehives in proximity to canola, potatoes, and sunflowers, the yield of said crops will rise thanks to pollinating. Of course, the bees also do what bees do best: produce a sweet, golden and viscous substance.

Stored on generated pallets, beekeepers (preferably wearing the new protective beekeeping suit) can either sell honey directly or deliver it to the cereal factory, where it’s used among other ingredients to produce a crunchy breakfast product. While the beehives in varying sizes are productive during warm seasons, they will only serve as a place for a buzzing slumber party when it gets cold.

Greenhouses to secure income during winter

With seasonal cycles coming to Farming Simulator 22, virtual farmers need to prepare for winter. While plowing snow and tending to livestock, additional income can be generated by building greenhouses in varying sizes. With plants and trees withered during the cold months, growing strawberries, lettuce and tomatoes will still provide a green sight – as long as fresh water is provided. And the profitability of the farm during winter is guaranteed.

Developer and publisher GIANTS Software did some groundwork and introduces more gameplay mechanics for Farming Simulator 22: With mulching, stone picking and soil rolling, three new ground working features will extend the virtual experience. The more realistic depiction of agriculture allows players to improve their soil quality even further.

Mulching: way more than bark chips for your backyard

While mulching is prominently known in domestic gardening through use of bark chips, in Farming Simulator 22 it becomes an integral part of increasing the yield as it is in real agriculture: Players mulch the narrow spaces between their brand-new grape vines and olive groves with fresh cut grass to increase the soil quality while making everything look nice and clean, or mulch the stubble left on the field after harvesting other crops.

Stone picking: a new type of enemy for virtual farmers

It’s not just weeds, virtual farmers have to fight: Lying dormant in the ground, stones can be dug up by plowing or cultivating. To avoid the risk of damaging machines, players will have to remove them. Dependent on the size, they either have to use a stone picking tool attached to the tractor, or roll over with the new rollers – effectively sweeping them under the nutrient-rich topsoil, at least for a while.

Let’s roll: soil rollers increase the yield (and are fun to operate)

With spectacular looking agricultural tools called rollers, players can press small stones back into the ground to conceal the rocky consequences of cultivating. After sowing crops, farmers gain additional yield bonuses when rolling over the seedbed to compact the soil. Grassland farmers also gain a fertilizing stage by rolling over their meadows.

Better looking soil: A feast for farmer’s eyes

Virtual farmers with an eye for detail will also notice the all-new ground textures. Basically all ground textures have been revised for the upcoming game, resulting in more visual diversity and authentic representation of the various soil states.

Time for a change of clothes, rubber boots included: With Farming Simulator 22, developer and publisher GIANTS Software introduces a new character creator with all sorts of new clothing items and accessories. With the new crossplay feature allowing players to cooperate with more like-minded farmers than ever before, the extension of the character customization allows farmers to stand out from the crowd. The comprehensive build mode offers even more space for a creative and individual game experience.

Latest fashion: Boots, beards, and branded outfits

Players choose from male and female character models, their hairstyle, including a beard or mustache, between various clothing items from top to bottom, and even authentic full-body outfits from international agricultural brands. With headgear, gloves, and glasses, there’s also a set of fashionable accessories to put on.

Creating a rough weather-hardened farmer with a big, bushy beard and striking sideburns in a brown leather jacket and firm boots is just as possible as creating a vigorous farmer-girl in protective clothing, rocking both a ponytail and safety glasses when driving the big forestry machines to do some precise wood cutting. If players want to dress up accordingly for each task, changing clothes is always possible by opening the wardrobe at the farmhouse.

Virtual farmers can wear their favorite brands

On top of the generic clothing options, virtual farmers can also choose from a set of branded outfits. When running a farming operation heavy on John Deere machinery, dressing up in the distinctive green company color adds to the authenticity of agricultural farming operations.

First gameplay trailer reveals European map

Farming Simulator 22 invites farmers to a new Mediterranean environment in Europe. Ideally suited for the new crops; grapes, olives, and sorghum, the French map Haut-Beyleron is perfect for creating an idyllic vineyard landscape. GIANTS Software reveals the last of three maps, included in the game at launch, by showing it off in the brand-new trailer at gamescom. After the previous cinematic trailer, this also marks the first trailer consisting of actual gameplay footage, revealing many new vehicles and tools.

Growing further: Season Pass announced

First season pass announced: While Farming Simulator 22 offers more content than ever before, including over 400 machines and vehicles, three maps, and brand-new gameplay features like seasonal cycles and production chains, the game will extend even more over time: GIANTS Software starts the evolution of Farming Simulator 22 with the Year 1 Season Pass – including three packs and one larger expansion to be released as DLC within twelve months after release. On top of that, the game will also receive free content updates.

Agricultural technology manufacturer CLAAS today presented the TRION 750 TERRA TRAC, its brand new top model in the compact combine harvester class. In close cooperation with the international agricultural machinery manufacturer from Germany, publisher and developer GIANTS Software announced the digital presence of the new machine for the upcoming Farming Simulator 22. Thanks to augmented reality, fans can now already take a look at the harvester.

Top model in three versions

With the CLAAS TRION 720, 730 and 750, players can choose from three versions of the combine harvester with the TERRA TRAC tracked undercarriage that protects the soil. The top model, the TRION 750, has an output of 435 hp and a grain tank capacity of 12,000 litres, just like its real-life counterpart. The CONVIO FLEX 1080 also finds its way into Farming Simulator 22 as a matching header.

Sneak Peek in Augmented Reality

To get a taste of the virtual CLAAS TRION 750 TERRA TRAC right now, fans can embed the combine harvester in their environment through the camera of their smartphone or tablet and view it from every angle – as if the real harvester was standing directly in front of the camera lens. The augmented reality model is available via QR code and link in the mobile view on farming-simulator.com.

"At home in every field"

When developing the new combine harvester, it was particularly important to manufacturer CLAAS to design a machine that could cope with the tasks of all field types. "Regardless of whether it is hilly, level, large or small, located near the coast or in a rather dry area," CLAAS promises. For the three different regions in the upcoming Farming Simulator 22 (inspired by the Midwest of the USA, the hilly Alps and a Mediterranean region), the new TRION is thus ideally suited thanks to its precision, performance and reliability.

GIANTS Software, developer and publisher of the worldwide popular Farming Simulator series, announces in-person events for the current Farming Simulator League (FSL) esports season. So far, tournaments in the third season have been held as online events. All participants can now look forward to real events in Bavaria, Germany, subject to compliance with the relevant hygiene concepts.

August tournament in GIANTS Studio

The qualified teams will play the final round of the eighth tournament on 14th and 15th August in the GIANTS Studio of the German GIANTS Software branch in Erlangen. There, the best FSL teams will meet each other in real life for the first time in the current season and fight face to face in groups of three for ranking points and tournament prizes. A highlight video of the last tournament played provides an atmospheric preview.

September tournament at HÖRMANN

From 11th to 12th September, the next knockout tournament will take place in Buchloe at the Allgäu family business Rudolf Hörmann GmbH & Co. KG. The specialist for agricultural and commercial construction offers enough space and comfort for an exciting competition and event atmosphere in its modern and spacious production hall. HÖRMANN itself provides an FSL team consisting of factory employees, which currently occupies fourth place in the overall season standings.

Live broadcasts of the Sunday events

The final round of the last eight teams remaining in the tournament will be commented on and broadcast live from 10 am on Sundays, 15th August and 12th September on the official GIANTS Software channels on Twitch and YouTube. GIANTS Software is also planning real events for the two other remaining events in the season calendar. Further information will be announced shortly.

Free esports tournament client

Developer and publisher GIANTS Software is organizing the FSL, which has a total prize pool of 250,000 Euros, as the competitive esports mode for Farming Simulator. Via the free Tournament Client for Season 3, every interested fan of the Farming Simulator can register for the FSL and prove themselves in the qualifying rounds with the potential of competing against one of the seeded sponsored teams. In the tournaments, which are held as knockout events, the teams collect league points, which are used to qualify for the big season finale in November 2021.

The competition requires teamwork and skill on a separate map in the PC version in order to harvest grain together, produce bales and then deliver them to your own barn faster than the competing team.

GIANTS Software announces a free update for Farming Simulator 20: New content featuring Canadian manufacturer Borgault. The sixth free content update for Farming Simulator 20 is now available to download on Nintendo Switch™ and mobile devices. This free addition of two new machines expands the already huge collection of farming equipment in Farming Simulator 20. Watch the new machines in action in the launch trailer.

Today’s update features Bourgault machines, marking the first appearance of the renowned farming brand on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. Improve your farming activities with the Bourgault SPS360-50 Cultivator and the Bourgault FMS CD872-8 Air Drill. The update also comes with a range of bug fixes and optimizations.

Farming Simulator 20 is available for Nintendo Switch at retail or as a download from the Nintendo eShop. The iOS and Android versions of the game are available at their respective stores.

Lowering the environmental footprint of virtual farming: The Precision Farming Project continues with a new and improved DLC for Farming Simulator 22. Initiated in 2020 by John Deere and funded by EIT Food, Europe’s leading Food Innovation Initiative, the project is now in its second phase. As one of EITs multiple efforts to raise awareness and improve the knowledge about sustainable farming, publisher and developer GIANTS Software will introduce even more gameplay features.

The first version of the Precision Farming DLC for Farming Simulator 19 was a great success, and was downloaded one million times world-wide on PC and consoles.

New gameplay features focus on increased sustainability

While the initial version features basics of precision farming technology like soil sampling, variable rate applications and economic analysis, the focus of the new DLC for Farming Simulator 22 will go further. Advanced precision farming technologies will be implemented to increase the sustainability of virtual farms through the use of optical sensors. Allowing a reduced application of herbicides as well as organic and mineral fertilizers - lowering the environmental footprint just like on real fields.

New partners help to improve modern farming knowledge

Set out to improve the knowledge of modern agricultural technology in the society, the project started in cooperation with the University of Hohenheim (Germany), the University of Reading (Great Britain), and Grupo AN, the largest cereal cooperative in Spain. This year, the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research from the Polish Academy of Sciences joined the project to promote the technology among young farmers in Eastern Europe.

“The cooperation between all partners has been fantastic and the DLC exceeded my expectations by far”, comments Thomas Engel, project leader at John Deere, regarding the first year of the project. Thomas Frey, Creative Director at GIANTS Software, adds: “We’re excited about the continuation of the project and the opportunity to take part in this important undertaking to emphasize the benefits of sustainable farming technologies.”

Free DLC releases next Spring

While GIANTS Software is currently focused on the upcoming release of Farming Simulator 22 on November 22nd, the new version of the Precision Farming DLC is scheduled to release the following Spring of 2022. More info about the project will be shared at GIANTS Software’s annual event FarmCon on July 21st, streamed on the official Twitch channel from July 21st to July 23rd.

All features of the initial version will be included in the new DLC. Owners of Farming Simulator 22 on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One will be able to download the DLC for free.

And new crops, too – developer and publisher GIANTS Software have revealed grapes and two more crops in addition to the release date, regional pack shots and an atmospheric Cinematic Trailer showcasing the next generation of farmers in action. Farming Simulator 22 will release on November 22nd for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Stadia.

Ready to harvest: grapes, olives and sorghum

Virtual farmers can now plant and harvest grapes to produce delicious juice and olives to produce high-quality olive oil – thanks to the new production chains feature. Sorghum, a new type of grain, has been added to the range of arable crops. With the new crops, comes the need for new types of machines. The New Holland Braud 9070L grape harvester is one of the new additions to the fleet of new machines in Farming Simulator 22.

Inspiring CGI trailer shows family business

As new generations of farmers follow in the footsteps of previous generations in real-life or through playing Farming Simulator, the cinematic trailer shows a father and daughter working the field together, battling the snow, and enjoying the rewarding victory of harvested grapes. The emotional story also reveals Mack Trucks as a new in-game brand, and shows the iconic Super-Liner in action. Self-published Farming Simulator 22 will be more widely available in more regions and to more players than ever before, inviting new generations to learn about agriculture, letting crops and the good times grow together in multiplayer.

Farming Simulator 22 now available for pre-order

All pre-orders of Farming Simulator 22 receive the CLAAS XERION SADDLE TRAC Pack including the CLAAS XERION 4200 SADDLE TRAC plus four more machines by KAWECO. Depending on the region, the cover depicts a Case IH AFS Connect Magnum, Fendt 900 Vario, Massey Ferguson MF 8S or Zetor Crystal. A limited Collector’s Edition with a dual tire setup of the Case IH tractor will be available for PC and includes a beacon light responding to the machines in-game.

Collectors need to be quick when Farming Simulator 22 releases this year – as a limited Collector’s Edition will be available! The game, self-published by developer and publisher GIANTS Software, will come to PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Stadia in Q4 2021.

In limited quantity, the PC version will be available as a stylish Collector’s Edition including a branded, high-quality beacon light. Players operating heavy machinery can enjoy the illuminating orange light as it turns on in real-time corresponding to the vehicles' beacon light in-game. Also included are two posters, 24 brand stickers, and new modding tutorials. Depending on the region, fans can enjoy a Massey Ferguson 8S, Fendt 900 Vario, Case IH Magnum 340 or Zetor Crystal on the cover of the standard edition.

Bread and butter: Production chains expand farming operations

A new economic layer is added to Farming Simulator 22 by introducing production chains. Players can deliver their harvested crops to various shops and businesses for processing. The grain mill, for example, can now produce flour to be delivered to the bakery, starting a lucrative chain of production resulting in fine bread or delicious cake.

Depending on the goods the players want to produce, they must provide the respective factory with multiple resources, like butter or sugar, first. After the production of sellable goods, players are able to further distribute them to points of sale like the supermarket. While some are already present, the players can also build them themselves to expand their operations.

Hills and landmarks: US map offers vast open space to build farms

Farming Simulator 22 includes two new maps plus an updated alpine Erlengrat map. Inspired by the US Midwest region, the now revealed Elmcreek offers players large fields and vast open space to build their farms on. Virtual farmers can look forward to numerous fields with varying shapes and sizes, authentically embedded in a scenic US landscape.

The authentic out-of-town setting features rivers and underpasses in hilly areas, a gushing waterfall and a proper highway surrounded by a Baseball Stadium, huge grain silos, a gas station and other buildings shaping the skyline visible from the players' expanding farmlands.

Farming Simulator 22 behind the scenes

Farming Simulator 22 will include various new gameplay features and technical improvements to be presented at FarmCon 21. Viewers will learn more about the addition of seasonal cycles, new maps, general improvements as well as a multitude of other additions to be announced during the three-day online event.

Next knockout tournament in the Farming Simulator League: This coming weekend, the teams in the Farming Simulator League (FSL) will fight for more league points! The third FSL season enters its second half with the sixth event. Developer and publisher GIANTS Software organises the FSL, which has a prize pool of 250,000 euros, with the competitive e-sports mode of the Farming Simulator.

Excitement guaranteed with live broadcast from quarter-finals onwards

The final round of the last eight teams remaining in the tournament will be commented on in English and German language. The live broadcasts start on the official GIANTS Software channels on Twitch and Youtube from 10 am on Sunday, 16 May. Excitement is guaranteed as there are several manufacturing teams with identical points in the top league positions: Corteva Agriscience shares first place with Trelleborg, John Deere with Krone in third position, and with Hörmann, Lindner and mYinsanity three teams occupy sixth place. To get you in the mood, this highlight video shows some spectacular scenes from the last tournament.

Records of the first half of the season

In the tournaments so far, the teams have achieved remarkable records: Lindner is the double record holder, both with the most bales and the highest grain delivered in the silo. Valtra, the winner of the previous tournament, achieved the best score for the first bale delivered and the challengers from Team DAF achieved the highest total score so far.

Free E-Sports DLC available

Via the free Tournament Client for Season 3, every interested fan of Farming Simulator can take part in the FSL after registering. If successful in the qualifying rounds on the previous day, the challengers will finally be allowed to play against one of the seeded manufacturer teams. The competition is based on the PC version Farming Simulator 19 and requires teamwork and skill on a separate map in order to harvest grain together, produce bales and then deliver them to your own barn faster than the competing team.

Pushing snow - and the depths of simulated farming!

Farming Simulator 22 will offer more depth thanks to a variety of new additions and therefore the highest extent of player freedom in the history of the series. Two new maps plus an updated alpine Erlengrat map will put emphasis on different kinds of farming operations through the seasons.

With a set of more than 400 machines and tools from more than 100 authentic agricultural brands including new categories, players can look forward to an improved and realistic-as-ever simulation. But even for new players, it will be easy to dive into agriculture, animal husbandry (including cuter animals) and forestry.

Creating even more immersive farming worlds

Based on the GIANTS Engine 9, Farming Simulator 22 features many technical improvements such as more realistic AI behavior and richer worlds. Thanks to those worlds, players will be drawn even deeper into the virtual farming lifestyle: For example, motor sounds of their tractors appear even more realistic through acoustic gear selection and graduated reverberation.

Better performance on all platforms: With DirectX 12 support on Windows, texture streaming, multi-threading optimization, occlusion culling and temporal anti-aliasing amidst other optimizations, the newest Farming Simulator will receive a performance boost on all systems – laying the foundation for even more complex mod customization to enjoy more content.
