More logistics, rising profits and increased sustainability: GIANTS Software publishes the Farm Production Pack for Farming Simulator 22 for PC and consoles, adding more placeables, machines and gameplay mechanics around supply and demand. The launch trailer introduces many of the more than twenty new items, which enhances business opportunities for virtual farmers in the genre-leading simulation game.
New Pack for New Business
Virtual farmers benefit from new selling points with dynamic prices and daily demand: vending machines in different sizes enhance their own farm, market stalls demand fresh produce and a supermarket requires processed foods.
One step further, building an agricultural empire is the 4,000-square-meter distribution center, equipped with heavy-loading shelves. Quick forklift unloading guarantees rewards, while customizable sheds and silos offer even more storage space for bulk products, vehicles, and tools.
Washing Crops & Solar Panels
New stationary equipment achieves higher selling prices: The washing drum for various crops, VDW’s Cleaner Tiger, which cleans and cuts sugar beets, as well as a remote-controlled cleaning robot for solar panels. Sustainability is also supported by an additional wind turbine and the Lely Sphere, a circular manure-handling system.
The Farm Production Pack is developed by Design, Modeling & Innovation (DMI) and published by GIANTS Software. It’s now available for Farming Simulator 22 on PC, Mac, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Virtual farmers can soon ramp up their production in Farming Simulator 22 – and while at it, make their operation more sustainable. Publisher GIANTS Software announces the Farm Production Pack coming to PC and consoles on April 30th. Pre-orders and a video teaser are now available.
Enhanced Economics & Daily Demands
Dynamic prices and daily demands reward fast deliveries, when farmers take on contracts from several new points of sale: A farm store requests agricultural resources, a supermarket requires processed foods, and vending machines along with market stalls demand fresh produce. Meanwhile, a new kind of wind turbine and solar panels (including a remote-controlled cleaning robot) generate passive income.
Washing Crops, Increasing Yield
New farm equipment further increases the yield of harvests and resources: The Lely Sphere, a circular manure-handling system, creates liquid fertilizer from ammonia emissions when placed next to animal sheds and combined with sulfuric acid. VDW's Cleaner Tiger scrubs and cuts sugar beets after separating them from stones, and a washing drum produces washed crops that can be sold at higher prices.
Managing a Distribution Center
Agricultural entrepreneurs, who don’t stop at selling their harvest and have their eyes on a late-game empire, can own a 4,000-square-meter distribution center equipped with heavy-loading shelves. Safely operating a forklift, they manage the distribution of pallets arriving at unloading bays, and need to apply clever logistics to satisfy dynamic market demands. In addition, several customizable sheds and silos for storing bulk materials, vehicles, and tools, as well as a vehicle repair shop with garage, are available for ownership.
The Farm Production Pack is developed by Design, Modeling & Innovation (DMI) and published by GIANTS Software, scheduled for release on April 30th. Farming Simulator 22 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Visit the official Farming Simulator website and the GIANTS Software press area for more information.
Taking their first steps on virtual soil, children now learn about the joy and importance of agriculture with Farming Simulator Kids. Sheltered, wholesome, and adorable – that’s what publisher and developer GIANTS Software offers budding little farmers on Nintendo Switch, iPhone, iPad, and Android™ devices. Providing a safe game to play, the game supports parental controls, relies on visual presentation, and cute aesthetics.
Like a Children’s Book About Farming
Farming Simulator Kids invites young players to live a cozy farm life and enjoy a variety of activities around nature and its produce: Planting and harvesting nutritious crops, taking care of loveable animals, producing and trading countless products like strawberry milk, and more.
With the visual charm of a hand-drawn children's book, kids are motivated to make their own connections between their discoveries: After learning how plants grow by following simple steps in the field, they get a sense of the value of using crops to make products and trade.
"While the Farming Simulator series is and will remain family-friendly, Farming Simulator Kids is specifically designed for the youngest farmers," comments Thomas Frey, Creative Director at GIANTS Software. "It is important for us, as well as for parents, to provide a safe and creative virtual environment where children can play and learn independently.”
Joyfully Exploring Farm-Locations
All this becomes even more fascinating when they get to drive a tractor and put their little colorful avatar behind the wheel of a John Deere machine. The renowned manufacturer was involved in the development from the very beginning. Represented by a number of its iconic machines in a striking green with yellow accents, children may already recognize them from the real fields near their homes.
Several environments are available to explore from the start: The farming house with multiple rooms, the farmland rich with crops, a spacey barn full of animals, and the farmer’s market where little farmers swap and collect items. More are planned for the near future.
Farming Simulator Kids is available for Nintendo Switch, iPhone, iPad, and Android devices via the Nintendo eShop, in the App Store and on Google Play, respectively. Visit the official Farming Simulator website and the GIANTS Software press area for more information.
