Developer and publisher GIANTS Software released Precision Farming 3.0 as a free Pack for Farming Simulator 25, introducing a range of new gameplay features and machinery that deepen realism and promote sustainable agricultural practices. Building on the success of the original EU-funded initiative, this latest version continues the mission of integrating real-world smart farming technology into the digital farming universe.
Tramlines, Subsidies & Pulse Width Modulation
Precision Farming 3.0 adds tramlines to the game, allowing farmers to manage fields more accurately by guiding machinery along defined paths to optimize crop growth. Players are also rewarded with subsidies for planting the catch crop oilseed radish – an environmentally friendly, nitrogen-saving alternative to traditional fertilization – mirroring real-world government incentive programs.
Further advancements include the introduction of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), which lets players fine-tune sprayer performance. This technology provides a more precise application by sending rapid bursts of liquid through individual nozzles, adjusting flow rates automatically based on speed and turning radius. Coupled with Automatic Section Control, which activates or deactivates sprayer sections based on GPS-defined field zones, this allows for efficient input use with minimal waste and reduced environmental impact.
Exceeding 5 Million Downloads
Precision Farming 3.0 also expands the roster of farm equipment: New machinery includes the John Deere R975i trailed field sprayer, the HAWE body swap system, and the Wienhoff TA 25 Profi Line slurry tanker. Players can also upgrade existing sprayers with PTx Trimble WeedSeeker 2 sensors for intelligent spot spraying of weeds.
In addition to these new features, Precision Farming 3.0 retains all core functionalities from earlier versions, which have accumulated more than 5 million downloads. Soil types, soil sampling, environmental assessments, economic analysis, yield maps, crop sensors, and variable rate applications provide players with comprehensive data-driven insights to improve efficiency and profitability on their virtual farms.

Farming Simulator 25 gets a substantial boost in realism with new features and in-depth gameplay mechanics. With Precision Farming 3.0, the continuation of an initially EU-financed project to promote sustainable farming technology, publisher and developer GIANTS Software adds features and machines.
Tramlines & Subsidies
Tramlines help farmers guide machinery along predetermined tracks on the ground for more precise field management and crop growth. When planting catch crops like oilseed radish, Precision Farming 3.0 rewards virtual farmers with subsidies to make nitrogen-saving planting more attractive than conventional fertilizing – just like in real farming.
Pulse Width Modulation & Section Control
With environmental impact in mind, Precision Farming 3.0 now offers more advanced machine-level features. Farmers can fine-tune sprayer settings using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), which adjusts fertilizer output for smoother application, greater efficiency, and reduced environmental impact.
PWM sends rapid bursts of fluid through nozzles instead of a continuous stream. Each nozzle works independently, allowing variable rate control of flow across the sprayer’s width based on driving speed and turns. This ensures that fertilizer is distributed evenly and efficiently. In addition, Automatic Section Control activates or deactivates individual implement sections at set field locations, ensuring fertilizer or crop protection is applied only where needed.
More Machines & Retro-Fit Sensors
Six machines are featured in Precision Farming 3.0. New additions include the John Deere R975i trailed field sprayer and the HAWE body swap system, which lets you use trailer bodies like the Wienhoff 25.200 PTW Profi Line slurry tanker. Additionally, existing sprayers can be retrofitted with Trimble WeedSeeker2 sensors for smart spot spraying of weeds.

Strapping on a Meta VR headset, farmers are immersed in cultivating fields of crops like corn, wheat, and soybeans. Farming Simulator 25 received international acclaim upon its release in November. Still, three million copies sold isn't stopping the publisher and developer from extending the game: GIANTS Software has now released a Free Content Update to add more machines to the fleet of already more than 400 vehicles and tools. It’s the first content update of many.
Content: New Farming Equipment
The update includes a wide range of agricultural equipment, led by renowned manufacturers CLAAS and John Deere. In particular, virtual farmers can look forward to operating CLAAS ARION and John Deere 6R tractors that are included in the free content update. The manufacturer Albutt is also represented, which specializes in attachments for agricultural machinery.
Patch: Plenty of Improvements

NEXAT, an acronym for “Next Generation Agriculture Technology”, is the world's first holistic crop production system.
